Shinji Yoneda, Chairman (Representative of Organization of Study of Scientific Research Costs)

sincerely appreciate your cooperation and support of our activities.
I am delighted to inform you that we applied for the scientific research subsidy (Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research (B)(1)) granted by the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science in order to launch research on ‘development of international education Curriculum’, which was proposed and approved by the General Assembly last year, and received the notice of grant on April 15. I hereby notify you of the summary of the research and request for your understanding.

Name of Research Project

We propose a variety of international education curricula of each subject, special activities, ethics and integrated learning for elementary, junior and senior high schools, all types of schools and development stages in order to cultivate specific quality, abilities, attitudes and skills that are indispensable in the era of globalization and multicultural coexistence.

Research Plan
Two Sectional Committees, one of which ‘forms the concept of international education’and the other of which ‘collects and analyzes current curricula of international education’, cooperate with each other to proceed with research. Furthermore, the whole association works together on ‘planning of model curricula of international education’.

We continue research in cooperation with existing committees, study groups and research conventions and request all members for cooperation by providing them with relevant information via our website, mailing list and other means of communication.
